The long-term development and sustenance of our economy is dependent on the quantity and quality of its labour force especially in the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) sector. TVET holds the key to Abia State& the ability to harness its vast human and natural potential that will lead to increase in internally generated revenue (IGR), technological development, local and international relevance and the ability to compete effectively in the world market.

During his inaugural speech as the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie lkpeazu promised to offer Technical and Vocational Education Training to 100 000 unemployed youths to enable them to acquire the necessary skills for wealth creation. E4E is one of the major avenues for achieving this objective. E4E which started as a programme has been upgraded to an Agency following its modest achievements in affecting the lives of Abia youths.

The current educational system in the state needs support to produce the requisite human resources to sustain this vision. It is important that Abia state indigenes are trained and/or retrained to enable them to fit into the various positions that will become available as the Governor & the vision is being actualized. Education for Employment (E4E) Agency has been established by local and international experts to develop the Human Resource Capital of Abia State in line with international best practices.
